Ljupcho Kocevski was appointed as Public Prosecutor of the Republic of North Macedonia on 13.02.2024. He was born on 01.08.1960 in Tetovo, and graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University “Sts. Cyril and Methodius” – Skopje in 1992. From 1995 to 2008, he worked as a lawyer in Tetovo, while he has been in the prosecution service since 05.11.2008, when he was elected public prosecutor at the High Public Prosecutor’s Office Gostivar. During his prosecutorial career, Kocevski was a member of the Management Board and the Commission for taking the final exam of the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors “Pavel Šatev”, a member of the Executive Board of the Association of Public Prosecutors, as well as a member of working groups for the preparation of several laws. On 18.01.2022, the Council of Public Prosecutors elected him as public prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of North Macedonia. In the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office, he was the Head of the Department for Metadata and Measures for Monitoring Communications and President of the Commission for Determining Disciplinary Responsibility of a Public Prosecutor in the Performance of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. On 16.12.2025, Ljupčo Kocevski resigned from the position of Public Prosecutor of the Republic of North Macedonia.
